After Alcaraz missed his first serve on a break point, his second serve was called out by a line umpire. However, Lichtenstein overturned the call, insisting that the serve was in. Zverev, convinced that the serve was out, expressed his dissatisfaction but Lichtenstein stood firm on his decision. A subsequent TV visual confirmed that Alcaraz’s second serve was indeed out, validating Zverev’s frustration.
Alcaraz went on to win the game, extending his lead to 3-1. He broke Zverev again in the seventh game, ultimately securing a victory with a final score of 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2.
