Serena Williams breezes through her 2nd round match in Paris

Serena Williams breezed to the 3rd round of the French Open after easily beating the Japanese qualifier Kurumi Nara.

The Match

In the first set, both the players won their service games till the 7th game but the American ultimately broke in the 8th game to lead 5-3 and then held on her serve to win the set 6-3.

The world no.10 dominated the second set breaking the service of her opponent twice and then winning the final game at love.

Williams won the match in straight sets 6-3 6-2 in 1 hour and 7 minutes.

After the match, the 23-time Grand Slam champion commented: “I’m very serious when I play, but I’m happy.”

Serena will play Sofia Kenin in her 3rd round match.
