During her much-needed time off the court, Aryna Sabalenka is making the most of it. After her 2024 French Open departure, the Belarusian is enjoying quality time in Greece, accompanied by her new boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis.
In the quarterfinals in Paris, teenage prodigy Mirra Andreeva defeated Sabalenka, who was defending her semifinal run from the previous year. During the 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4 defeat, Sabalenka was clearly out of spirits.
Sabalenka struggled through her digestive problems and used medication to stay alive during the competition. The illness described earlier prevented her from attending the post-match news conference, but she did speak to the media briefly afterwards. She talked about her choice to persevere despite feeling ill.
Sabalenka has given herself the ideal getaway in Greece to move on from the defeat. Showing off her villa with a view of the Mediterranean, the 26-year-old gave fans a peek into her vacation with her boyfriend on June 8.
