Stefanos Tsitsipas’s mother has opened up about her son’s relationship with Paula Badosa. Tennis’s lovely couple, who had broken up just a few weeks earlier, picked up their highly publicized romance again this month and were set to play mixed doubles at the French Open.
Their relationship status sparked intense attention, and fans were happy to see them reunited before this month’s Roland Garros event. However, Julia Apostoli, the mother of the Greek player, recently voiced her opinion, suggesting that not everyone was pleased about it.
She seemed to be criticizing Badosa in her remarks, which hinted that she wasn’t entirely in favour of the reunion. Apostoli expressed her remarks about Badosa and said: “A girl who is not a super confident person. She needs a lot of support to learn more things and experience life. The choice has been made. Nobody asked my opinion.”
The two had developed into one of the most popular couples in the sport, earning the nickname ‘Tsitsidosa’ and amassing over 87,000 followers on their joint Instagram account.
