Jannik Sinner remains optimistic despite his recent defeat to Carlos Alcaraz at the French Open. Reflecting on the match, Sinner acknowledged the crucial moments where Alcaraz outperformed him. “For sure the sets he won, he played better in the important points, no? I think that was the key,” Sinner said. While disappointed by the outcome, he views the experience as a valuable part of his development.

“Thinking back, before the tournament, reaching this point, I’m obviously very happy. In the other way, I’m disappointed about the match today,” he admitted. Sinner is now focused on improvement and future opportunities. “I’m just looking forward to improving, to trying to do the best I can, and then we see what I can do in the future here in this tournament.”

Sinner sees a silver lining in his progress from the previous year. “If we watch the positive side, I have improved from last year, for sure,” he noted. Looking ahead, Sinner is also excited about the possibility of competing at the Olympics. “Yeah, there is another chance to play here for the Olympics. Then we see how it goes,” he added.
