The big difference between the 2 was that Maria has managed to keep her cool in the tough moments (especially at the end of the match) while Belinda was a bit too emotional.

After the match Maria commented “These are the players who will ultimately take our spot, but not just yet! I was really focused today. I knew she has a great game and she’s had a really good season.
It was our first meeting, but I’m sure we’ll be playing many more times in the future. It’s always great to play against a player who’s been coming up for the first time.”
