Djokovic With Cerundolo

Novak Djokovic defeated Francisco Cerundolo to go to another Roland Garros quarterfinal. To make it into the final eight at the French Open, Djokovic had to stage yet another incredible comeback.

It took him four hours and forty-nine minutes to accomplish this, as he defeated his Argentine opponent 6-1, 5-7, 3-6, 7-5, and 6-3. However, the Serbian had to lie on the court and receive treatment for his leg early in the second set, indicating that victory was not guaranteed.

After winning a long five-set contest against Lorenzo Musetti, Djokovic was seen before the match sporting tape behind his right knee.

Cerundolo expressed his thoughts after the match about Djokovic: “He always finds a way to come back and play his best tennis at the toughest moments and the end of every match. I did my best. I was so close, but I couldn’t win it. He shows again why he’s the best.”
