Paula Badosa disagreed with Iga Swiatek’s concerns about crowd noise during her match at the French Open. Badosa, who played on smaller courts where the noise from other matches was audible, suggested that Swiatek, playing on the main courts, was in a more fortunate position and therefore should not complain.
She highlighted the contrast between their experiences, noting that she could hear the noise from several courts including Philippe Chatrier and Suzanne Lenglen during her matches on courts 8 and 9. Badosa emphasized the importance of appreciating fan fervor and suggested that Swiatek should see the big picture and be grateful for playing on the main courts where crowd noise is less of an issue.
Paula commented: “I think she cannot complain, because I played Court 8 and 9 and you can hear everything. Like, I can hear Suzanne Lenglen, Philippe Chatrier, Court 6, 7 during the points. I think she’s very lucky she can play all the time on Philippe Chatrier and she’s okay with that. But I don’t mind. As I said, I played on small courts these days, and I was hearing so much noise,”
