Stefanos Tsitsipas shouted at his father and coach Apostolos to “shut up” during his French Open second-round match on Wednesday.
Tsitsipas responded to some of his team’s critiques in a way that seemed to indicate he wasn’t fully grateful for the advice or criticism he was receiving at the French Open.
To advance to the third round at Roland-Garros, Tsitsipas did manage to overcome the tough Daniel Altmaier in four hard sets, but there was some conflict on the court during his victory.
The 25-year-old lost his cool and reacted after Tsitsipas’ father, Apostolos, who is also his longtime coach, was observed offering him some advice or something similar.
