In his final competition in Argentina, Fernando Belasteguin had yet another incredible afternoon that ended with Tello pulling off a comeback victory over Barahona-Zapata, securing their place in the Mar del Plata Premier Padel P1 quarterfinals. The stands were full once more, and just like in the round of 16, Bela and Tello’s triumph was the highlight of the day. These two will play each other, but no more or less than the top two, Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia.

Only Lebron and Paquito Navarro, who will take on Yanguas-Garrido, lost this Thursday out of all the top couples in the men’s draw. They lost to the exceptional Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz. The other two quarterfinal matches will pit Stupa-Di Nenno against Momo and Álex Ruiz and Galán and Chingotto versus Sanyo and Maxi.

The top couples in the women’s draw all prevailed in two sets.Starting on Friday at 9:00 a.m. local time, Triay-Fernández and Sainz-Llaguno will host the eight games on the Central Court of the Islas Malvinas Sports Center.Brea-González vs. Ortega-Virseda, Sánchez-Josemaría vs. Riera-Araujo, and Salazar-Icardo vs. Ustero-Alonso are the other three women’s matches.
