Unlucky stuff for Felix Auger Aliassime that confirms that he won’t be able to compete at the Roland Garros.
The young Canadian confessed that he struggled a lot during the final in Lyon already from the 1st set, but he preferred to keep on playing in order not to spoil the party.
Why Auger-Aliassime decided not to play the Roland Garros
Felix explained how he took the decision to say:
“I was feeling great. And then during my semi-finals, I started feeling pain in my groin, so yeah, I didn’t expect it. But at the same time, we had time to think about it, do the exams, and it was a very thoughtful decision. I think I’m at peace just knowing that it’s not something bad, that it’s gonna heal pretty fast. But I have to be careful. But I’m at peace knowing that I’ll probably be able to be ready for the grass
We were waiting to maybe get some exams done today in Paris, and then we went this morning, and they weren’t in favor of me playing. After that, we took the decision of pulling out.”
Felix confirmed that he is expected to be fine within 7-10 days and he will compete in Stuttgart on grass.
