In the Asuncion final, Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia triumphed over Galan and Chingotto. As a result, Tapia was able to pass Galan in the latest FIP rankings and move up to the second spot in the world with 10986 points. Galan now has 10966 points, ranking third in the globe.

Next Mar de Plata

From May 20 to May 26, 2024, Mar del Plata, Argentina, will host the Mar del Plata Premier Padel P1 competition. Following Acapulco and Riyadh, it is the third P1 event of the season and a part of the Premier Padel circuit. With a prize fund of €470,000., the tournament involves a draw of 48 men’s pairs and 32 women’s pairs. The Argentine Association of Padel (APA) is organizing the event, which takes place in the state-of-the-art Polideportivo Islas Malvinas in the center of the city.

The competition is important to Mar del Plata because it draws the top padel players in the world to Argentina and displays the enthusiasm and commitment of participants, officials, and spectators. Arturo Coello, Federico Chingotto, Francisco Navarro, Franco Stupaczuk, Juan Tello, Agustin Tapia, Alejandro Galan, Juan Lebron, and Martin Di Nenno are among the top-ranked players competing in the event.
