In the wake of the 2024 UTS League’s first leg that crowned Andrey Rublev as the UTS Oslo champion, the Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) returns for its next star-filled stage. This highly anticipated event will be hosted in the legendary Forest Hills Stadium in New York, a venue steeped in US Open history.
The tournament already promises to showcase mind-boggling tennis action from some of the biggest stars in the sport. Among the latest additions to the roster are Alexander Bublik and Denis Shapovalov, who are set to bring their unique flair and competitive spirit to the event. They will join other top players in battling it out on a court charged with years of tennis history, all looking forward to earning their ticket to the UTS end-of-the-year Grand Final.
The UTS New York tournament will be held over two days, featuring a single elimination bracket. A total of nine matches will be contested, ensuring that all eight players step on court every single day of the competition. Day 1, set for August 22nd, will kick off at 3:30 pm and conclude at 9:30 pm, featuring an All-Star Game and four quarter-final matches. Day 2, on August 23rd, will start at 4:00 pm and end at 9:30 pm, including two semi-finals, one final, and two clashes between the quarter-final losers.
“The schedule and players’ lineup are provisional and subject to change,” the organizers noted, underscoring the dynamic nature of the event.

Denis Shapovalov in 2024
Now the world no.126, Shapovalov played his last match on the 8th of May when he lost to world no.54 Luciano Darderi 6-7(4) 6-3 7-6(4) in the 1st round in Rome (draw).
Presently, during this year the Canadian has managed to achieve a compiled 8-12 record.
He is also scheduled to play at the French Open (French Open). The main draw will start on the 26th of May.
Alexander Bublik in 2024
Now the world no.17 (career-high), the Kazakhstani played his last match on the 10th of May when he lost to world no.53 Nuno Borges 6-4 6-4 in the 2nd round in Rome (draw).
Presently, during this year Alexander has an overall 16-10 match record. Alexander has won 1 title in Montpellier. Bublik got to the final in Dubai.
Bublik will play next in Lyon (Open Parc). He will start from the main draw that will commence on the 19th of May.
Denis Shapovalov and Alexander Bublik played each other 3 times. Their actual record is 3-0 for Bublik. The last time they locked horns, Alexander Bublik won 1-6 7-6(12) 6-3 in the 2nd round in Montpellier (Open Sud de France) on the 31st of January 2024.
