Novak Djokovic, the world No. 1 tennis player, has been cleared to resume his tennis activities following a head scan conducted in Belgrade. This development comes as a relief for Djokovic and his fans, especially with the French Open approaching.

The need for medical attention arose after a bizarre incident at the Rome Masters. On Friday, Djokovic began his Rome Masters campaign with a convincing 6-3, 6-1 victory over Corentin Moutet. However, as he was signing autographs near the court exit, a metal water bottle fell from a backpack and struck him on the head. The impact caused Djokovic to fall to the ground, visibly in pain and discomfort.

Despite the incident, Djokovic returned to the court two days later. However, his performance was notably below par, leading to a surprising 2-6, 3-6 loss to Alejandro Tabilo. After the match, Djokovic attributed his substandard performance to the head injury sustained from the water bottle incident. He also mentioned his intention to undergo medical tests to assess any potential damage.

On Tuesday, the necessary tests were completed, and the results were positive. Djokovic has been given the all-clear to continue his preparations for the French Open. Serbian sports journalist Ozmo Sasa confirmed this on X, formerly known as Twitter, stating, “Per reports in Serbian media, Djokovic took a head scan this morning and was given the all clear by the doctors. Great news.”

With this clearance, Djokovic can now focus on his training and participation in the French Open, aiming to add another Grand Slam title to his illustrious career.
