Sloane Stephens splits with Nick Saviano

Sloane Stephens is definitely not up to her potential.

The 22-years-old was the big hope for American tennis after an amazing run at the 2013 Australian Open where she defeated her childhood hero Serena Williams to reach an amazing semifinal, but after that nothing really great happened. In 2014 Sloane had a stint with renowned coach Paul Annacone, but that didn’t work. In 2015 she partnered with Nick Saviano, but besides winning Washington (her first WTA title), nothing great really happened.

Saviano: I enjoined winning Washington

Even if there have been reports of some “arguments” between Saviano and Stephens during their partnership, the coach wanted to focus on the good “Sloane and I will not be working together on the tour in 2016,” Saviano commented. “Coaching Sloane this past year at the major events and having her achieve outstanding results, in particular, winning her first WTA tour event in Washington, D.C. was extremely rewarding and enjoyable.

I expect her to have a great year in 2016 and wish her all the best.”

Sloane is now ranked no.30 after reaching a world no.11 career high in 2013. Time sit back and think…

NOW WHAT?
