Genie Bouchard confirms Thomas Hogstedt as her full time coach.
Genie and Thomas started to collaborate on a trial basis in October and apparently the Canadian is happy with the choice to reach an agreement with Hogstedt for a full-time partnership. This will hopefully end a terrible period for the Canadian that started since she parted ways with her coach Nick Saviano at the end of last year.
From that moment, Genie experienced deep misery for the entire season. Her hopes were pretty high after she hired top coach Sam Symik at the beginning of 2015, but that didn’t work out at all and they decided to split. Then Genie was finding her way with a “decent” US Open before suffering from a concussion after a freak accident at the Flushing Meadows.
Hopefully Hogstedt will end this.
