Roger Federer and Stefan Edberg had a couple of great seasons together. The Swede Legend helped Roger to find a “new way” to play tennis with more aggressive patterns. Roger and Stefan will not partner “on a regular basis” in the following season, but the Swiss Maestro said that they will still be “in touch” to hint a different form of partnership.
Federer: He will still be around
During a recent interview Roger commented “I’ll stay in touch with Stefan Edberg, he’s been a wonderful guy, an incredible inspiration and motivation for me. Unfortunately, we won’t be working together as much anymore but he said he would like to come around for some tournaments and we’ll still be in touch,”
Roger has announced that he will partner with Ivan Ljubicic next season. Stefan is always (very) welcome in his team.
