Will Vika’s dominance end any soon? It does not seem so.
The Belarus has an incredible (and 100% unexpected) 23-0 record in 2012 and the bad news for her rivals is that she is improving match after match.
The last 3 matches were a bit embarassing. Vika dipatched with horrible scores and an incredible tennis Radwanska, Kerber and Maria Sharapova.
The Sony Ericsson Open will also mark an important moment to understand if Vika really stretched too much or if she entered a 2011-Novak-like groove (and this would be bad news for the rest of the pack).
However, nothing really remarkable happened in the WTA draws.
We may expect again a nice Azarenka – Radwanska clash and maybe another Azarenka – Sharapova final.
Serena could be the ‘surprise’ of the tournament (well…surprise… she won it 4 times!) and she could be tested by Sam Stosur in the quarters…
By the way.. has anybody heard anything about Kvitova…?
