Canadian teen Felix Auger-Aliassime beats Australian John Millman in the Lyon Open.
Auger-Aliassime saved all 5 break points and converted one of his 9 break points to win the match. The world no.28 reached the quarterfinals of a major tournament for the 3rd time this year after Rio de Janeiro (final) and Miami (semifinal).
The Match
Both the players held on to their service games (6-6) to decide the first set in a tie-break. Auger won the tiebreak game easily to win the first set 7-6(3).
Again in the second set, both players held on to their serve at 6-5 until Auger-Aliassime conquered the decisive break in the last game to win second set 7-5. The Montreal teen won the match 7-6(3) 7-5 in 1 hour and 48 minutes.
