Stefanos Tsitsipas was surprisingly eliminated in the second round on Saturday in Madrid by Thiago Monteiro. Tsitsipas, who had only had one clay-court loss this season coming into the Spanish city, fell to the Brazilian qualifier 6-4, 6-4 in just over ninety minutes.
The Greek player entered the tournament with a first-round bye. Two weeks prior, he had won her third title in Monte Carlo and finished second in Barcelona.
Paula Badosa, who has been injured more than once, discussed in a conversation the extent to which she has gone to continue playing.
The couple has publicly expressed their love for one another on social media since they confirmed their relationship. Badosa has shown her love and gratitude for Tsitsipas, highlighting how he has supported her throughout their relationship.
