At the Madrid Open, Coco Gauff suffered a devastating loss to Madison Keys in a third-set collapse. But Gauff was still in a good mood when she recently went out to dinner with Paula Badosa, Danielle Collins, and another tennis player who is supposed to be her boyfriend. This suggested there was more going on within the world of competitive tennis.

On Instagram, Gauff posted pictures from her dinner date with the description, “pov: im ur dinner date.” Despite her hectic tennis profession, she looked lovely in an off-the-shoulder grey gown and black boots, exuding contentment. Jalen Sera, her purported boyfriend, also commented on the post.

Even the player ranked third in the world replied, saying he wished there were rewind buttons. Both Badosa and Collins responded to Gauff’s post, with Badosa emoji-ing a heart and Collins jokingly referring to Gauff as “Sexyyyyyyy.”

Though Gauff may have enjoyed it, Keys’s achievement in making it to the WTA 1000 tournament quarterfinals is noteworthy—this is her first trip this far in ten attempts. Keys, who is ranked 20th in the world, has a 3-2 record versus Gauff. This was their first meeting on red clay, which demonstrated Keys’ versatility.

Keys took a culinary class prior to her dinner date, which gave her insight into her life outside of tennis.
