Tsitsipas world no.3 in YTD rankings after overtaking Federer

The Greek keeps on strengthening his position in the rankings after reaching the semifinal in Rome

Stefanos Tsitsipas reinforces his chances to qualify for the ATP Finals in London after another good week.

The Greek sensation reached the semifinal in Rome 1 week after he was the runner-up in Madrid. After this feat, Stefanos gets 360pts to overtake Roger Federer in the Year to Date rankings and be the new world no.3. It’s interesting to notice that it was decisive Federer’s retirement in Rome when he had to face Tsitsipas in the quarters.

Besides Stefanos, another big winner in the Year to Date rankings was the other Rome semifinalist Diego Schwartzman that gained 17 places to be now the new world no.13 (YTD).
