Stefanos Tsitsipas shares his love for Italy with a nice post in Italian

Stefanos has a nice gesture for the Italian tennis fans

Tsitsipas in Rome

Stefanos Tsitsipas had another fantastic run in May after he conquered his 3rd consecutive semifinal in the month in Rome.

The Greek sensation reached the final 4 after dismissing 2 Italians on the way following his wins against Jannik Sinner (6-3 6-2) and Fabio Fognini (6-4 6-3). Then Stefanos had a free ticket to the semifinal after Federer withdrew because of a leg injury. However, Tsitsipas had to bow in the semifinal to a great Rafael Nadal after he lost 6-3 6-4.

Following this effort, Stefanos will reach a career-high rank this coming Monday (no.6).

The thank-you note to the Italian fans.

After losing to Nadal, Stefanos published the following note (translated)

“The biggest competition is [with] myself. I’m not trying to follow others or shoot them down. I’m planning to test my limits. Rome, thank you for showing love and support in this incredible journey. I love Italy!”
