At the 2024 Laureus World Sports Awards, Rafael Nadal’s foundation received the Sport for Good Award. The Spaniard and his wife, Maria Francisca Perello, collected the honour together.

The Rafa Nadal Foundation is dedicated to the social development and integration of youth in India and Spain. The organization empowers youth and gives them equitable opportunities through sports and education, enabling them to better realize their potential. The organization was established in 2014, and it employs sports as its main component to promote moral principles, including effort, respect, and teamwork.

Fans gathered around Nadal as he prepared to attend the Laureus Awards ceremony, demanding autographs. When Nadal arrived, the crowd cheered and yelled, “Rafa, Rafa.”
