The Davis Cup is getting closer and closer for Murray & C.

Andy and Jamie produce a solid performance against Goffin and Darcis to beat the Belgians 6-4 4-6 6-3 6-2. The Murrays were in control of the match with the exception of the 2nd set to seal the deal after 2 hours and 52 minutes.

Murray. Trust is key

Andy commented ” I just trust him [James] when he’s on the court, when he’s next to me. That’s not just because he’s my brother, but because he’s an exceptionally good tennis player. That’s why we’ve played well together this year.”

Then he added “To play in a Davis Cup final with your brother and to win a point for your country is obviously great. We may never get the chance to do that again. So I have to enjoy that.”

Great Britain is now leading 2-1. Murray will play Goffin to grab the title, but the Brits have rather good chances also in the 5th rubber… whoever is going to play.

Game on!
