Novak Djokovic has just completed the best season of his huge career and he is not shy to say that he wants more.
Greatness in tennis is (arguably) measured with the number of majors conquered. Federer tops the list with 17 major, Nadal is at 14 and Djokovic has now 10. The Serb will try to catch up with Roger and Rafa, but he won’t be easy because even if Nole is by far the best tennis player on tour right now, if he loses in intensity, he will find it almost impossible to win another slam with Federer, Nadal, Murray, Wawrinka (etc etc ) around.
Djokovic: I can stay at the top
Nole commented “I don’t know what’s going to happen in next years to come. But what I can do for myself is continue respecting the kind of training regime and lifestyle that I had and keeping that mindset. Because of that package, I got myself in this position.
“I’m convinced with this dedication to the sport, I can achieve more. How much, I don’t know. I don’t have a sense of urgency. I don’t chase anything. I just try to be in the moment and see where it takes me.”
