Federer: Olympics are not my top priority

Tennis players are finally having some rest after a tough season, but the next one is not that far away.

After a great 2015, Roger Federer is already thinking about next year, and he confirms that even if the Olympics in Rio will be an important moment of his season, he has some other priorities right now.

Federer: The Australian Open is my priority

Roger stated ”It’s not my No. 1 priority. It starts with the Australian Open, which is just around the corner. That’s what I see next. Then once Australia’s over, that’s when I look more towards the future.”

Talking about going to play the Olympics the Maestro commented ‘I don’t know what the crowd support is going to be like (in Rio). I had a blast in Sao Paulo [in the 2012 exhibition], the 3 matches I played there. All of South America was fantastic, to be honest. For me to have done that trip, it was the trip of a lifetime. It was one of my favorite 10 days of my life if I just talk about tennis. It was really that cool”

So it seems that Roger will have some rest (not much) to go for another blast in 2016. At 34, he is not done at all!

STILL THE COOLEST AROUND?
