Rafael Nadal has announced that he will compete in the Barcelona Open, marking his eagerly anticipated comeback to tennis.

Due to injury, Nadal hasn’t competed since the Brisbane International in January. As a result, he was forced to withdraw from some major events, such as the Australian Open, Indian Wells, and Monte Carlo Masters.

However, Nadal, who has won the Barcelona Open a record 12 times, stated in a press conference on Monday that he is going to participate.

Nadal expressed his thoughts in a recent interview and said: “I came here a bit on a last-minute decision, not knowing if I could play. But tomorrow I’ll be on the court. For me, it’s a gift to be able to be here in Barcelona, I will treat it as my last year [here] and I want to enjoy every moment.”
