Djokovic furious with the media

Novak Djokovic is furious with the media as he denies he said that he handed the win to Roger Federer in the second set of the round robin.

To be fair to the Serbinator, we have always considered him as one of the most “gracious losers” (even if he is a winner!) in tennis history as he has always been able to swallow some rough defeats in style and with a smile. Actually that is what is making him a special champion.

What happened?

Apparently Federer was irked for Nole saying he “handed the win” to Roger, but according to the Serbian that has never happened.

Nole commented “We can look at the transcript, go back. I’m 100 percent sure I didn’t say that and I didn’t say anything that can be taken out of the context, anything similar to that.”

Then he added “Whoever created that story, I don’t know what to say. It’s not fair. There is no need to create any kind of bad blood between Roger and me because I said what I needed to say, that he deserved to win that match, he was a better player. I said that I was disappointed with my level, but that has nothing to do with me handing the victory. This is ridiculous.”

To be honest… this quote was also reported by the official ATP website…so…
