It’s Federer-Nadal again! The Spaniard downs Nalbandian in 3 sets – 2012 ATP Indian Wells – Video Highlights

Great great stuff from everybody.

Nalbandian confirms to be one of the most erratic (and brilliant) tennis players on the tour. His career every now and then seems finished and then… he pops up again with lots of sparks.

Ranked 74th in the world (a big fake), David had a truly remarkable tournament beating Cilic, Tipsarevic and  Tsonga. He was also close to beat super Rafa in the quarter finals. But super Rafa is super for a reason! The Spaniard managed to get out a sticky situation. After losing the first set 6-4, he was still struggling to find the solution in the second. Eventually Nadal got a decisive break at the 11th game to lead 6-5 and to wrap up the set 7-5.

The decider looked easier for the Spaniard from the beginning. He got to a 5-2 lead and David looked really exhausted. But you can never write him off. All of the sudden Nalbandian started to believe in it to break Rafa and to get as close as 5-4. Then the world nr.2 entered the Rafa’s mode and the set ended 6-4.

Federer and Nadal will play their 28th match. The Spaniard leads 18-9… The last time the Swiss beat him outdoor was 3 years ago (1000 ATP final in Madrid) and this is why Roger wants to go for it!

Last time it was Nadal at the Australian Open Semifinals (video)… Who is going to be this time?

Looking forward to seeing the semifinals!
