Ben Shelton’s sister, Emma Shelton celebrated her brother’s historic victory at the U.S. Men’s Claycourt Championships in Houston last week.
Shelton arrived in Houston following his Miami Open third-round defeat. To get to the finals, he defeated players like Tomas Martin Etcheverry and Brandon Nakashima. Against Frances Tiafoe, he proved his mettle and won the title. In an exciting encounter, he upset the former champion 7-5, 4-6, 6-3.
Emma, who had been following Shelton’s run in Houston, excitedly posted about her brother’s most recent victory on Instagram. Along with a couple of trophy emojis, she shared Shelton’s tweet from the ATP 250 clay court event in which he won the title.
Emma is also an aspiring tennis player. She had supported her brother from the stands at the 2023 US Open while attending the majority of her college tennis matches on behalf of the University of Florida.

Currently the world no.14 (career-high), Ben played his last match on the 7th of April when he overcame world no.23 Francis Tiafoe 7-5 4-6 6-3 in the final in Houston to win his 2nd career title.
This season Ben owns a compiled 15-7 record. This year, the American conquered 1 title in Houston.
Shelton will compete next in Madrid (Mutua Madrid Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 22nd of April.
