Currently ranked no.8, Ruud played his last match on the 6th of April when he was overcome by world no.77 Pedro Martinez Portero 6-4 4-6 6-4 in the semifinal in Estoril (draw).
At present, during this year the Norwegian owns a composed 20-6 record. Casper Ruud’s most significant result of the current year was getting to the final in Los Cabos and Acapulco.
The Norwegian was the runner-up in Los Cabos (Mifel Tennis Open) and in Acapulco (Abierto Mexicano Telcel).
