Andy Murray’s focus is entirely on the Davis Cup final that will be played on clay, but the world no.2 has still to play the World Tour Finals unless he is injured.
Apparently the Scot is already preparing his movements for clay even if this preparation will be interrupted by playing on hard courts in London.
What is Murray doing
Andy is testing his movements on an indoor clay court at Queen’s Club in west London where he will train for 3 days before switching to the hard courts for the WTF (tricky… isn’t it?).
Why Murray might not play the World Tour Finals
Few weeks ago Andy expressed his idea of not playing the WTF and that wasn’t taken nicely from the organisation that reminded Murray that it is compulsory for him to play at the O2 unless he gets injured.
That “unless” might be the reason for Murray not to show up “If I get injured in the next couple of days or something happens to my back then obviously I won’t play. But if I’m fit and healthy and the next three or four days go well, then I’ll be practising at the O2 from Friday.”
Andy asked to play the WTF round robin in day 2,4 and 6 to have 1 more day to get ready, but we all know that is heart is definitely not there, so… can we expect an early demise?
