In Monte Carlo, Novak Djokovic was spotted training with Nenad Zimonjic. This is a strong hint that the world’s top player, at least in his first clay-court tournament of the year, will work with the Serbian tennis great.
Goran Ivanisevic was dismissed by Djokovic last week. Although the Croatian coach didn’t immediately designate a replacement, Serbian reporters saw the 36-year-old working out in Belgrade on Friday alongside former doubles world No. 1 Zimonjic.
Zimonjic’s presence with Djokovic during Friday’s practice may have provided a hint as to the Serb’s prospective new coach. Zimonjic was back in attendance as Djokovic held his first practice in Monte Carlo on Monday.
Holger Rune and his coach Patrick Mouratoglou joined Djokovic and Zimonjic on the practice court this time, so they weren’t alone.

Currently ranked no.1, Djokovic played his last match on the 11th of March when he capitulated to world no.75 Luca Nardi 6-4 3-6 6-3
in the 3rd round in Indian Wells (draw).Currently, during this season Novak achieved a compiled 8-3 record. Novak Djokovic’s best performance of the year was getting to the semifinal at the Australian Open.
Djokovic will compete next in Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters (Monte–Carlo). He will start from the main draw that will commence on the 7th of April.
