Amanda Anisimova had a double stroke of luck in Rome.
In fact, the American teenager failed to qualify for the main draw after she lost to Kiki Mladenovic 6-1 6-4. However, the 17-year-old was admitted to the lucky draw after Donna Vekic had to withdraw because of a hip injury.
Amanda was 2-times lucky also because in the 1st round she will face the wild card and world no. 781 Elisabetta Cocciaretto that has never played in her career a tournament with the pros.
If Amanda wins, she will face Kiki Bertens in the second round after the Dutch won the title in Madrid.
