Roger Federer‘s decision to participate in the upcoming ATP1000 in Rome was fantastic news for the local tennis fans and the organization that took full advantage of it.

Doubling the prices???

Roger didn’t really know what to do about playing in Italy, but then on Saturday, he decided to give it a go after talking to his team (see article).

Angelo Binaghi, the President of the Federazione Italiana Tennis came out with a rather unfortunate and awkward statement about doubling the prices of the tickets when the Swiss sensation saying

“We have doubled the price of tickets for Wednesday, the day Federer will play. We want to reward fans who had bought tickets before they knew Federer would play”

This statement received lots of criticism from Social Media. What about hiring a PR company?
