Federer trounces Seppi in 47 minutes

Roger Federer was a bit worried about his opener in Paris as the conditions were completely different from Basel. Eventually things got glorious with the Swiss Legend demolishing his Australian Open conqueror (Andreas Seppi) in just 47 minutes.

Roger was in absolutely control of the situation from the very beginning to grab a 4-0 lead in the opener with Seppi absolutely unable to counter the power of the world no.2. Eventually Roger conceded ust a couple of games in the entire match to win 6-1 6-1. Match Stats.

Federer: I am very happy with this performance

Roger was elated with his tennis to comment “It’s very pleasant to play matches like this one. Of course, I like great battles, playing two, three, four, five hours. But 47 minutes is always very pleasant. You need to focus a lot for the very short time you are on the court, not to make any mistakes. I’m very happy with this mental performance.”

Next vs. Isner

Roger will play John Isner in the 3rd round. Head to head is 5-1 for the Swiss.
