Officials announced on Thursday that Emma Raducanu, the former US Open champion, and German players Laura Siegemund, Tatjana Maria, and Angelique Kerber have all been awarded wild card tickets to the Porsche Grand Prix next month.

Due to their Billie Jean King Cup duties for Germany in Brazil, previous winners Siegemund and Maria were not allowed to participate in qualification and instead received straight entry into the main draw of the star-studded field by the league.

The Stuttgart indoor clay event takes place from April 15–21, after the team event tie on April 12 and 13.

Tournament director Anke Huber said: “We go to great lengths to decide who we want to support with a wild card. As a tournament in Germany, we naturally want to do justice to the responsibility we have for German women’s tennis. They don’t have the chance to get into the main draw here via qualifying. It’s why we’re supporting them with a wild card. One of our concerns is that Porsche Team Germany can contest the difficult away match with the best players.”
