Elena Rybakina discussed her composed on-court demeanor and her admiration for tennis legend Roger Federer. When asked about her calm attitude on the court and any inspiration from Federer, Rybakina attributed it to her character. She acknowledged occasional negativity but emphasized the importance of maintaining positive energy and focus during matches.

“Now I knew that I cannot lose energy on these kind of things. I was just trying to keep calm and just focus on every point, because I knew that’s the only way to get through this,” Rybakina explained.

Having named Federer as her tennis idol during the 2023 Australian Open, Rybakina recalled feeling nervous when the Swiss icon attended one of her matches at Wimbledon later that year.

During an interview with Tennis Channel, Rybakina shared insights into her routine at the Miami tournament. She disclosed a decision not to practice the day after each match, a departure from her usual routine.

“Well, honestly, without any secrets, every match I played here the next day, I didn’t practise. So yeah, it’s also a first time for me, we made this decision, and we see how I’m going to feel tomorrow. But I’m not sure if I’m coming on site,” Rybakina said.

Rybakina’s reflections shed light on her mindset and preparation strategies as she navigates the challenges of professional tennis.
