After the Miami Open, Jannik Sinner will become the first player from Italy to win $20 million on the ATP Tour.
Sinner reached the landmark when he defeated Czech Tomas Machac in straight sets to secure his spot in the Masters tournament’s final four. Only recently did Sinner overtake Fabio Fognini to become the top-earning Italian player on the ATP Tour.
At No. 31 on the all-time list of prize money, Sinner is getting closer to No. 30 Stefan Edberg, who earned $20,613,441 during his career.
Sinner had already amassed $2,861,288 going into Miami, primarily as a result of being the first Italian to win the Australian Open singles. Sinner has acknowledged that his breakthrough start to the season and his improvements are mostly due to his coaches.
Sinner said in Miami: “I think overall, if we watch the technical/tactical side, [Simone Vagnozzi] is one of the best coaches in the world because he doesn’t have this straight rule that you have to play in this way, but he sees the player and he tries to adjust it in the way he plays.”

Now the world no.3 (career-high), Jannik played his last match on the 29th of March when he overcame world no.4 Daniil Medvedev 6-1 6-2 in the semifinal in Miami (draw).
At present, during this year Sinner owns a composed 21-1 match record. Jannik conquered 2 titles in 2024 at the Australian Open and Rotterdam.
Sinner has scheduled to play next in Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters (Monte–Carlo). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 7th of April.
