Carlos Alcaraz of Spain defeated Lorenzo Musetti of Italy 6-3, 6-3 on Tuesday night at Hard Rock Stadium to go to the Miami Masters quarterfinals.
Here in Miami, Musetti has been playing some of his best tennis in months, so this matchup was sure to be exciting. Alcaraz, however, turned this into a simple victory with a solid serving display and some impressive all-court play.
Alcaraz defeated Alexander Zverev earlier in Indian Wells after overcoming a swarm of bees that created a nearly two-hour delay. A bee invasion stopped this Indian Wells match, and it looks like one of the bees even stung him. Recently, in a video clip, Alcaraz was seen battling with bees while training on the court at the Miami Open.
