Radwanska wins the WTA finals!

Agnieszka Radwanska surprises everybody (including herself) after winning the WTA finals in Singapore. The Pole managed to qualify to the season’s finale rather late and she got to the semis after winning only 1 match of 3. Eventually the world no.6 defeated Muguruza in a rough semi to reach the final as the underdog. In fact, in the last match of the season the Pole had to face an in-form Kvitova that even if she also struggled in the group, she defeated Sharapova (the most impressive player in Singapore) in straight sets.

Thing got immediately interesting for Aga in the final as the Pole got an early and unexpected 6-2 3-1 lead, but then Kvitova started to play exceptionally. The Czech won 7 of the following 8 games to lead 2-0 in the decider. Time for Radwanska to fight back once again and win the match 6-2 4-6 6-3.

Radwanska: This is the biggest day of my life

An emotional Radwanska commented “A few weeks ago I didn’t even know I’d have a chance to be here, and there you go. It’s just an incredible day for me. It means everything. It couldn’t be any better. I think that was the biggest day in my life.”
