Garbine Muguruza and Petra Kvitova reach the Singapore semifinals
Garbine gets to the semis after winning all matches in her group. The last casualty was Petra Kvitova that was defeated 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 after 2 and half hours.
This is not good news for Garbine that is also playing the doubles semis, so some fitness problems are on the way “For sure I’m tired today and it’s going to a challenge for me to see how much my body can handle. It’s going to be hard but I think it’s great to be in my position of playing singles and doubles semifinals. Now I have to recover well and do everything possible to be ready for both matches.”
Even if Petra lost the match she will get to the semis because her friend and fellow compatriot Lucie Safarova defeated Kerber in straight sets.
The semis
Muguruza will play Radwaska and Kvitova will play Sharapova. Sharapova – Radwanska is the most plausible final.
