Jannik Sinner: “Tennis is not everything in life”

Jannik Sinner talked about the way he thought off the court in an interview, saying that he didn't draw most of his inspiration from tennis.

Sinner Talking In An Interview

At the Miami Open, Jannik Sinner proved once again that he is the undisputed player of Italian tennis by defeating a fellow countryman in a dominant match.

Following his defeat to Carlos Alcaraz in the Indian Wells semifinals, he expressed some concern about his health at his post-match news conference, citing an elbow issue. Sinner admitted he was worried about his levels at the beginning of the game on Friday, even if it seemed like he was showing off his calf as he lost to Alcaraz.

In an interview, Sinner discussed his mindset off the court as well, stating that tennis was not his primary source of inspiration.

Sinner expressed his thoughts about it and said: “Tennis is not everything in life. I do whatever I can to be the best, but at some point, it’s going to be over. I don’t think about that now because I am only 22, making 23 this year. You just have to give your best. I’m just happy to be here. I’m enjoying it and I’m just looking forward to every match. Tennis is a game in which you win and sometimes lose. If your opponent serves well or plays well, you can’t control that. I always give 100% and so far, this season has been amazing. I just try to keep improving.”
