Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from the upcoming Miami Open due to a suspected back injury. However, her management team insists the injury is not serious.

The 21-year-old British player was scheduled to play in the first round of the WTA 1000 competition on Tuesday against Xiyu Wang but her name has been removed from the draw.

Last week at Indian Wells, Raducanu made it to the third round until Aryna Sabalenka defeated her. She then talked about her positive feelings after 2023 was disrupted by an injury.

She said: “It was a success, I would say. I think I have handled myself a lot better on the match court. I was a lot more positive and hungry to play, and that showed in the tennis that I did play.”

When Raducanu was recently spotted playing the piano, fans were overjoyed to learn about her skills.
