Flavia Pennetta stunned the tennis community twice in New York: first by winning the US Open (not easy!), second by announcing her retirement during the final ceremony (quite a stunt!).
Chinese tennis legend Li Na thinks that Flavia’s decision was right to comment “I was just asking her [Pennetta], ‘Did you change your mind? She was like, ‘No. Never. Done.’ I was like, yeah, I understand, we are the same age. I know how tough is on the tour, like over 10 years.
You know, tennis is a job. It’s part of life. You have to find the… real life or family. For this age, I think she will be doing a great choice”.
Na Li has retired last year and she had a baby last June. Pennetta is rumoured to get married with Fognini this coming June. Time for Flavia to make a move?
