Carlos Alcaraz won his second Indian Wells Open championship on Sunday, and Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal wished him congratulations. Nadal praised the tennis star as the 20-year-old Spaniard defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final contest to capture the title for the second consecutive year.
As Nadal posted an Instagram story, the 37-year-old congratulated Alcaraz on winning the title.
After winning the Indian Wells Open, Carlos Alcaraz experienced a very emotional moment. The 20-year-old gave his father a hug in celebration of the win. This performance that won the title follows a run of setbacks.
This win in Indian Wells is Alcaraz’s first title since the 2023 Wimbledon win. Although the Spaniard had been working hard to win titles, Alcaraz seemed to be in a drought. The two-time Grand Slam champion had several early exits, but he also missed some golden starts.
