Sinner At Indian Wells

In Indian Wells on Saturday, Jannik Sinner’s 19-match winning streak came to an end with a three-set loss against Carlos Alcaraz. The grateful Italian player was already thinking about how he could improve. Alcaraz overcame Sinner in a 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory after losing the opening set.

Alcaraz not only booked a second trip to the final match, but he also resisted Sinner’s attempt to take the No. 2 spot in the world rankings.

Sinner stated he wasn’t overly worried about the end of a winning streak that dated back to last year. Sinner’s 16-0 start to the year includes his first Grand Slam title and a triumph at Rotterdam.

Sinner expressed his thoughts about it and said: “I don’t think so much about that. I’ve been positive throughout this winning streak, positive even now because I lost in the semis of Indian Wells, which is still a great result. Now, the next tournament is in Miami. So I’m focused on Miami. For sure, it’s tough that it has to end like this here because, for me, this is a really special place to play in, but I feel grateful for what I’m doing.”
