Nick Kyrgios was supposed to behave to avoid a 4 weeks ban from tennis. He struggling to do that.
The Australian has received already 3 code violations after the US Open. The last one came during the match he played and lost against Nishikori.
What happened
Nick was about to lose the second set against Nishikori when at certain point he slapped a ball (a missile) that could have really harmed the central linesman. Eventually nobody was hit, but that was potentially dangerous.
The umpire Mohamed Lahyani issued the code violation saying “This for me is too dangerous, you hit it so hard,”Â
Kyrgios : This is crap
The Australian protested “I didn’t even hit anyone but it’s unsportsmanlike? The ref wasn’t even close to it… well let’s just look at the tape because that’s just crap.”
