Before the Indian Wells tournament, American tennis player Coco Gauff attended the TIME Women of the Year event with his father.
Many consider the 19-year-old to be among the best players on the circuit right now. Gauff wore a stunning Prada gown when she attended the TIME Women of the Year dinner recently.
Gauff, who was there with his father as well, gave a speech during which she expressed her gratitude to her father for helping her succeed on the court.
She expressed her feelings and said: “When I started playing tennis at the age of 6, my dad, who’s here with me tonight, told me, “You can change the world with your racket,” and I believed him. I believed him because of the women in my life and the women in this room who showed me that a little girl with big dreams can go on to do great things.”
